Install NinjaTrader 8

Download NinjaTrader 8 from ninjatrader.com and log in. The free license works. Connect your data feed or prop firm account under Connections.

Import Sovren

1. In the NinjaTrader Control Center, open Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On.
2. Select the Sovren .zip you just downloaded. Don't unzip it first.
3. Click Yes when NinjaTrader asks to import, then restart NinjaTrader.

Open an NQ chart

1. New → Chart, instrument NQ (or MNQ) front month.
2. Bar type Minute, value 1. Load at least 10 days of data.
3. Keep the default trading hours template (CME US Index Futures ETH).

Turn on the strategy

1. Right-click the chart, choose Strategies, and add Sovren.
2. Pick your account and set the number of contracts (2 NQ, or start with MNQ).
3. Tick Enabled and click OK. The strategy name turns green when it's live.
4. Run one copy of Sovren per account, and don't trade NQ or MNQ by hand on that account while it's on. If the account's position ever stops matching Sovren's, Sovren closes that contract on the account and stops until the next session.

Keep it running for the open

Sovren trades during the Nasdaq opening session. Your computer or VPS needs to be on with NinjaTrader connected through the New York morning; the setup guide in your download lists the exact hours. It handles news days and its daily trade and loss limits on its own.
